can't say goodbye to the original

I have been using this perfume for over 30 years, and nobody would recognize me in the dark without it. when I went this spring to replenish my supply, I was horrified by the new version - even though the sales people insisted that YSL had only changed the packaging - the first sniff of the new stuff was so obviously NOT my old friend. They have added some of that civet or musk that is in all the new scents - it descends into something sticky and rank, rather than the familiar dark and spicy. I bought 2 different versions,first the eau de toilette and then the perfume, but ended up taking them both back to the store and complaining. I don't think the sales people knew what I was talking about, but since my eyes were streaming and my cough was obvious, they believed that I am allergic to the new stuff, at least.So I was desperate! Luckily I googled Opium and discovered that a few people still have some of the old stock. I bought 2 bottles, but I don't know what I'll do when those are gone. Maybe we can all complain to Yves St. Laurent and get them to bring back the original recipe.If not, I will be condemned to the wrong smell for the rest of my life, I guess.I am not just pessimistic, but sad to lose something so beautiful that has been an important part of my life for so long.

Urc never disappoints!

I have installed more of these units than I can count over my 9 yr home theater career. This unit is almost never the problem when troubleshooting the system. A good accessory for this is split IR splashes. The little ir emitter that you stick on the front of the equipment. They sell them with 2 emitters per phono jack used on the control station. As long as both devices are different brands you can assign them both to one output. This extends the output to control up to 8 devices from anywhere in the house. Very handy to make this base station able to control a room worth of equipment as well as the whole house equipment. This unit works with all of the MX series remotes from URC.

Useful Product, Poor Longterm Reliability

My theater is set up such that the projector, receiver, and other devices are not in the line of site while viewing the screen, making it very awkward to point at the device when you want to send a remote command. Adding a MRF-260 to my setup solved this problem. I could point at the screen, the chair, or anything else and the command would get through. It worked so well that I bought two more for other areas of my home. The next two didn't work as well.One problem was I have blu-ray players and cable boxes from the same manufacturer in my theater and bedroom, and both areas are controlled by MRF-260s. So if I watch a movie in my theater, the MRF-260 sends a "play" command to the blu-ray in my bedroom as well (assuming the unit isn't turned off). A more serious problem is reliability. All the flashers outputs on the back failed on one of the new units right out of the box. That unit only put out IF through the front blaster. The other two units also started failing in different ways, 1-2 years later. One of the MRF-260s only put out flasher outputs in some of the ports in the back, so I'd need to move around the connectors to find one that work. Both of the two units on which I use flashers started to miss commands inconsistently. I often fast forward through a commercial, then when the commercial finished pressed play. I might need to press play a half dozen times over a period of 10 seconds before one of them got to my cable box. By then I'd have missed minutes of the show, so I'd need to rewind and start the process again. While other times, commands would get through without issue the first time. Some of this problem is my cable box being especially sensitive and not the MRF-260, as I have more problems with the cable box than other products. However, other products also started failing 1-2 years after purchasing the MRF-260 at a lower rate than the cable box, so it is not just a cable box issue. I realize that the MRF-260 has a power level adjustment on the flashers for sensitive devices, which didn't help my situation.

Only downside to the kit is the front hydraulic brake light switch is not supplied. You have to buy a switch and make a jumper to reach the rear brake switch. I'd give 5 stars otherwise.... Seller is top notch in my book!

Sleek Professional-looking; Great Hood

I have had this hood for over two years. I wanted something contemporary, modern & sleek looking...didn't want to bother with the chimney ones, having had one in the past. This looks like a professional-style, more expensive one. I like the slight brushed manner of the hood, as it doesn't collect and show dust as regular smooth steel would...bonus! I have this hood placed a bit higher (couple inches below ceiling molding) than most as I wanted full clearance for taller cooks, having bumped my head on hoods in the past. The lights are great; I always use them when I cook. I have burned out the lights a couple times over the years; to replace them is easy. I love the 'nite' light. I cook at home a lot, so I use the fan on low most of the time. The fan is powerful enough for clearing the room of smoke when I burn things...sure, on high is loud, but the other three settings are quiet enough. I also like that I can throw the filters in the dishwasher. Would buy again without hesitation.

Finally, a thermometer that works!

Like many parents of infants and small children, we cycled through many thermometers that were inconsistent and unreliable when we needed them most - determining how high our children's fevers were. We finally felt we should try the ones that our pediatricians were using. This Welch Allyn Braun model has been wonderful in allaying our anxieties about whether we were getting correct readings. Good value motorcycle tire

After a year and 3000 miles of riding on this tire it has performed well in dry and wet conditions and the tire is wearing well. This tire is 10mm wider than the stock Ninja 250R tire and fits and looks nice on the bike. I am glad I went with the wider tire. I would buy this tire again for its good value and performance.

Converts Your Dust Extractor to a Shop Vacuum

This kit includes an 11.5 ft x 36mm anti-static hose, a sturdy break-down 4-piece stainless steel wand,crevice tool, upholstery brush, utility brush and a multi-surface floor nozzle. The latter has flip-down brushes for vacuuming floors. To vacuum carpets the brushes slip up and out of the way. It works very well.All the attachments will work with the standard 27mm hose that comes with the Festool dust extractors, but if you really want to see some suction, attach the 36mm hose that comes with this kit. Wow. It seems to double the amount of air flow; like an entire new vacuum.Everything comes packed in a Systainer 4, which attaches securely to the top of any of the newer CT dust extractors and is about the same size as the CT midi. The Systainer is handy for storage, but you really come to appreciate it when you begin hauling everything to different project sites.Festool's catalog states that the kit is not compatible with the CT mini or midi, but I have a midi and the kit works fine. The only catch with using this with either the mini or the midi is that since the hose attaches to the top of the vacuum, you cannot keep the systainer on top of the vacuum while using the larger diameter hose. That is not an issue so far as I'm concerned.If purchased separately, at Festool's typically outrageous prices, this package would be more than $350. So at the package price it's actually fairly reasonable. If you plan on using your CT vacuum for much vacuuming, this is a really useful kit. No complaints.

a life saver

I purchased a pair of these shoes this afternoon. and came home went on Amazon and bought another pair and saved 56.00. I have terrible pain in pretty much every pair of shoes that I wear. I saw these on someone and after their praise of these shoes went to the store and bought a pair. They were comfortable at the store but I always worry because after an hour or so the pain starts to creep in.( I do need surgery) .These shoes however are so comfortable and adorable too . My feet are in heaven. I have had them on for 5 hours and they are even more comfy than when I first tried them on. I am a size 41 and they fit perfectly. I tried the mules that are similar to these but they were not nearly as comfortable run a size large and were slippery on my feet. I liked these better. These are the only pair of shoes that I have that I don't need to put an insert in and can still be pain free in.

Most comfortable shoes!

I am a big comfort freak, and these shoes are it! They are right up there with my Ugg boots!. They are great looking and funky. I usually wear a 7- 7.5, but in these shoes, I am an 8.I will probably get the boot version of this shoe for the winter, that's how much I love them.

Best walking shoes I own.

These are the most comfortable walking shoes I own. They look great even with a dress. I'm a size 9 and I bought a size 40 - perfect fit.
