Nice bookshelf. Great company!

The bookshelf arrived quickly and looked just as nice as I thought it would. It was not too difficult assemble, especially with a power screw driver. Once I was done, I noticed that a shelf had become damaged in the process (my fault). I called Bush Furniture and they sent me a new one, no questions asked and free of charge, that arrived the same week. Haven't dealt with a company like that in awhile.

Sturdy, Functional, Nice Looking

Since this is a veneer, it's easy to scratch, so be gentle when putting it together.Assembly is no problem -- Very easy to put together, but then again, there are no doors, bells or whistles on this. Check the supplies as soon as you unpack, and contact Bush if anything is missing -- I have rarely ever had problems with missing items and I have a slew of Bush products gracing my humble abode.I pay special attention to the backboard -- so hammering in a few more extra nails during assembly helps because with humidity and repeated use (like slamming a book back onto the shelf and against the backboard) it will tend to loosen or bow out.Cleans nicely with your usual spray polish, and one suggestion I want to pass on is to anchor it to the wall studs at the top just in case someone has a tendency to put the heavier books on the top shelves. (They should go on the bottom shelf)

Impressive rower

I had two concerns about buying a rowing machine: first that I weigh over the 250 pound limit of most rowers out there, and second that I live in a second story apartment so noise is definitely a factor. I was pleased to find this machine on a good sale, and when it arrived I was able to put it together without much trouble (the instructions weren't the clearest, but it was pretty common sense). After having used it several times now, I can safely say that this rower put all my worries to rest! It is a very sturdy machine, comfortable and easy to use. And the only noise comes from the blades pushing the water, so it is very relaxing and no complaints from the downstairs neighbors. The monitor is easy to read, and as an added perk, it comes with a heart rate chest strap. I used to enjoy rowing at the gym, and now I am excited to have a quality machine in my own home.

Good Rower and Great Company

I am writing my review about 6 months after purchasing this rower. I am extremely satisfied with my purchase, but felt compelled to write my belated review only after experiencing an issue with the equipment and getting great customer service. First of all, I must say that this is one sturdy piece of equipment that is very easy to assemble and set up. I am a novice rower, but quickly learned how to use the equipment and found the workouts to be extremely satisfying. I was amazed at how complete the workout felt after only 15-20 minutes. My only vice is that the display seems a little cheap, but I really only use the timer and HR monitor and they both work just fine.I was gradually working my way up to longer work outs, when I experienced a break in the bungee cord that provides tension on the pulley that collects the row belt. The cord became pinched and ultimately snapped. The company provides a 2 year warranty, so I sent an email on a Sunday afternoon and got an email response from the president within a couple of hours. By the end of the week, I received a new cord and replaced it within minutes.While this kind of customer service is expected for such a high end piece of equipment, it seems like it's becoming ever more rare these days.Overall, I am extremely happy with my purchase, and with the work out that I get from this machine. Knowing that they stand behind their equipment is a testament to me that Healthcare Int'l is also a great company.

The Best for the Price

Having used the NordicTrack Rowing Machine until it wore out - decided to try the H2O ProRower RX-750. Received and set it up without incident - well packed and easy to follow instructions. They even supplied chlorine tablets, tools and if necessary a plastic shim to align the blades. Unlike most computers, this one has a very large display and is easy to use. Filling the tank was a snap, they provided both a funnel and siphon unit.What a smooth ride - the H20 ProRower is the best IMHO

Good, not Great

After reading a number of reviews on Amazon and other sites, I felt that this piece of furniture was the best value available. By the way, I ordered this piece and paid for 1-day shipping, which was only $10 and it arrived in 1-day, all 113 lbs! A couple of things you should know before purchasing this item. First, it is 100% particle board, no real wood. Not necessarily a problem, but just so you know what you are getting. Second, check all pieces before assembling. I got about half-way through the 3 1/2 hour job (not sure how the one reviewer did it in 1 hour!) and realized that one of the pieces had cracked paint. Given the location of the piece and the lack of desire to return, I continued anyway. Some of the pieces don't line up as well as they should and you may need to force a few together. (Doors are tricky to line up perfectly) However, given the price I paid and the strength and appearance of the piece, I still feel it was a good purchase. I would recommend this piece, just not highly recommend.

GREAT TV STAND!

I bought this TV stand two months ago and it is great! It looks like I spent twice as much on it. It took about an hour to put it together, and the finished product is excellent. It is very sturdy for our tv (a 42' flat screen Philips weighing about 90 lbs) and it's the perfect length, doesn't sag in the middle at all. The black finish looks great as well, hasn't scratched. It has glass doors and plenty of room for our DVR, DVD player, XBOX and many DVD's. I would HIGHLY recommend this product.

Great TV Stand

Purchased this stand along with a Samsung 52LN750. Coincidentally, this stand matched perfectly with my current decor. It looks fantastic when put together properly, particle board or not. Very sturdy as well.I gave it four stars because of how generic the instructions are and because a couple of the pieces were a little roughed up. Luckily it kind of blended in with the natural "antique" look the stand possesses and there is no need to return anything.Additionally, it is extremely difficult to line up the cabinet doors evenly. We got them as even as possible, but they are still not level. Good thing is that it is only apparent up close, at TV viewing distance you cannot tell what-so-ever.Amazon gets 5 stars because of speedy shipment and the fact that the price was about $30 less than what it is at the time of me writing this review.I would definitely recommend this piece if you have the time and ability to put it together. I chose this over numerous similar pieces that were double, some almost triple, the price... solely because it just flat out looked better.

Awesome stand!

I really like the look of this stand! I'm getting a 42" Flat Panel LCD TV along with it, and after searching around online and at stores, this was in my opinion the best value. I bought it on a Monday, and even with the slowest shipping option (free shipping), I received it that Thursday!The assembly of this stand is pretty straightforward, and shouldn't take more than an hour. If you get this stand, which I recommend, just make sure to really pay attention to the directions and the orientation of all the pieces, or you'll have to backtrack a few times like I did!Two negatives that I have with it:1)(Small negative) It's a little low for me. If it were a few inches higher, it would be perfect. But even at its height, it's still fine.2)(Big negative) Along the same lines...with the way the support bars are designed, the shelves are not tall enough to fit DVD's in upright!! Whats the deal?? You'd think if you were to design a TV stand, you would at give the shelves enough height for DVD's! Technically you can fit them in there, but you have to place them behind that horizontal chrome bar, and then make sure you have enough space to tilt each DVD at an angle in order to get it out...sheesh! Either that or just stack them on top of each other, if you don't mind it.Besides those two low points (no pun intended :-) this is a nice stand, and overall I am glad I bought it.

Very nice TV stand

I ordered the large Midnight Mist TV stand to go with a new plasma TV. The stand arrived a few days before the TV, via UPS. I was pleasantly surprised to find that not only were all the glass pieces of the shelf undamaged, but the box itself had gone through the UPS system without gaining any dents or scratches.The stand is fairly simple to put together. I did most of the assembly by myself, but due to the size of the glass shelves, and the method of installation, it is helpful to have a second person assist you. The shelves are secured by suction cups (the "vibration dampening pads" mentioned as a feature) and realigning a shelf means someone on each end detaching the suction cups from the glass one at a time.The stand is the perfect size for my 58" Samsung Plasma, which is just under stand's maximum shelf weight of 145lbs for the top shelf.I only have two real complaints with this stand:1) as mentioned by another reviewer, the lower two shelves do not have very much clearance. The bottom shelf has a clearance of 6 7/8", which is just perfect for Blu-rays but not enough for DVDs or large stereo receivers. The middle shelf has a clearance of 6 1/4", although there is an additional 2" of space behind the front frame bar, if you store something like DVDs that can be tilted when inserted.2) The lower shelves aren't well supported in the middle. Due to the design, the upper shelf has a center brace attaching it to the outer frame of the stand, but the lower shelves don't. Each of the lower shelves has a maximum weight limit of 50lbs, but I found that the shelf bowed in the middle when I put my receiver and HTPC (combined weight, about 48lbs) on the lower shelf. I will end up ordering the matching audio tower and just moving my stereo equipment off the TV stand.Overall, this is an excellent stand, and it matches my new TV very well.

Best for TVs in the bedroom

I needed a tall stand for my new, 40" Samsung LCD HDTV to place in my bedroom. Other stands out there are made for the living room and are only between 20" and 25" -- much too short for me to be able to view over my high bed.This stand is 31" high and solidly constructed of metal and tempered glass. In the description it says it can accomodate a TV up to 37", but my Samsung is 40" and has a small base that fits perfectly on this stand.I searched for about two weeks until I found this product. It suited my needs perfectly, and I would definitely recommend it. Oh, and it's packed really well. All of the parts survived shipping here to New Jersey!

Large box & strong smell of new paint.

I actually picked this up online for $321 shipped to a local Wal Mart. Besides the usual (very heavy, nice and sturdy, good quality, long assembly time), I'll add something new: Have a pickup truck with you if you have to transport it! I was hoping I could get it in my Accord. After 20 minutes and with the help of 3 people, I was able to get the whole thing in my car. We had to open up the box in the parking lot and put it in piece by piece. The box is 28"x63"x8" and weighs enough to need 2 strong, or 3 people to lift it. I also had to air out my house overnight because the smell of the fresh new paint on all the pieces was extrememly strong. I also had to drive home with my car windows down because the smell was unsafe for freeway driving. I have not assembled the unit yet, but I've put together Bush furniture before and I was very pleased with the assembly quality. Based on other reviews, I expect this one to be no different, and because of the price I got this for, I give it 5 stars!

looks good and holds the 50 inch tv,but the quality is not as good as sauder products(they had nothing in a similar style).assembly directions are poor,just a series of pictures.some steps were purely trial and error on my part as the pictures were lacking explanations.some of the parts were also of poor quality and needed replacement when they broke.unit made in china which explains a lot.if you can get what you need from sauder,i can recommend their furniture from prior experience.

It serves it's purpose

This TV stand arrived about 2 weeks after I ordered it and I began to assemble it. It took about 6 hours by myself - you have to assemble EVERYTHING. It came with everything except some dowels needed for assembly, so I went out to a local hardware store and bought some instead of waiting to call the company and have them shipped out. That was my main problem with the unit. Assembly was fairly easy and everything fit together nice.The Quality is decent but I expected more. The smell is strong but hopefully that will go away soon. Some of the wood had small chips and imperfections in the paint, but it is barely noticeable once put together. It is very heavy and sturdy enough to hold my old 32" projection tv without a problem. Overall I am satisfied but would probably go with another manufacturer next time.

CUSTOMER SERVICE NO SHOW

Bought this recently, setup was super easy, looks very good, nice finish. That is the Pro's. The Con's are: 1) No specifications on how much weight the shelves will support, no specifications on the height between shelves, and no help from customer service on any of this, 2) The TV support arm leans with the weight of my plasma, not only forward but also to one side, stable who knows, although once situated I plan on anchoring it to the walls, 3) repeated emails to customer service go unanswered, I mean absolutely no response, not to my questions or to my requests for parts. This is a very good looking unit, fits my decor just right, but the lack of Bush's customer service support has soured me on buying anything more from them.

Good but not perfect

Just got this Bush Furniture TV stand. Using it with a 50" Panasonic Viera. I definitely recommend 2 people available to assemble. I actually got it put together by myself but it took some real sweat and a few tense moments.The black color is very good looking but it will definitely be difficult to keep clean (especially with a dog in the house). The only complaints are that the mounting bracket is very hard to level (side to side) and it leans forward with the weight of the TV (probably no more than 10 degrees or so but it is noticeable). This actually works well when seated but could be an annoyance if you are standing around while watching the TV. The manufacturer needs to either but in a little more reinforcement for the metal arm or put in some sort of adjustments to let you level the TV once mounted. Their are slots on the bracket but these don't allow for very fine adjustment.You should also take care to see how the mounting bracket aligns with your TV. I didn't and only barely had room to fit the power cord into the back of the unit. Dumb mistake but would have been a major hassle to take the TV back off and move the bracket around if the power cord hadn't squeezed into place.The instructions were quite good and I was QUITE PLEASED to see that the manufacturer actually took the time to put all of the various pieces in individually labeled zip bags. I've had experiences before where I had to guess what type of screw/bolt/oddbit was what. No such problem here.

Easy on the eye

I bought this unit for my Samsung LNT4661f LCD tv that I purchased after Christmas. The delivery was right on schedule, delivered by UPS. A word of caution- this box is HEAVY. UPS driver left on my front porch and I had to wrestle it into the house. I was somewhat intimidated by all the parts when I opened the box in preparation for assembling the unit and the assembly 'instructions' are graphics only- no written directions. But the pieces were very well labeled and once I got the hang of the graphics, the assembly went well. Be aware that you'll need at least 2 people to help with the assembly of this unit. The parts include various sizes of bolts that are commonly used by tv manufacturers- you'll only need one size so you'll have plenty of bolts left over for your bolt collection in your tool box. I got the unit successfully assembled and the tv hung. It looks great. A nice way to display my new LCD tv. Another point to be aware of- since the shelves are tempered glass, the manufacturer recommends no more than 25# per shelf. Bottom line is that I'm very satisfied with the purchase. I saved about $50 over what the unit would have cost me from a local merchant.

I really haven't had an oportunity to use this yet, but it seems to be very sturdy! Years ago I had a much lighter rectangular type popper that we had a lot of fun with...so I am looking forward to using this one.
