Grain free is the way to go.

Our Yorkie had very dry skin until he started eating this food. We were feeding him a well known Yorkie specific food that had corn listed among the first ingredients. Our dog seems to be more active as well and the size of the kibble seems to be perfect for a smaller dog.

I bought this because I was shocked to see how my dog's Purina food stacked up. I was shocked to see how low it ranked among dog food. if you would like to compare and check to see how yours does on the list here is the link : [...].I will say that my dog was on Purina's puppy mix and his stools were black. But since he has been on this, his stools are now light brown and it comes out easy and smooth, unlike black and blocky. I didn't ween him slowly at all. I just threw the other food out and put this in his bowl and he at it immediately.It's important to see what the first few ingredients are in your dogs food, look and you'll be shocked.
