Worked for me

I used this mixer for a large deck project, 18 piers and footings, 190-60 pound bags. It says it can hold 4 bags but I never mixed more than one 60 pounder at a time. I read too many reviews where the users burned out the motors on these small machines. It wasn't necessary anyway since 15 seconds after emptying the bag into the drum (with 3 quarts water placed first), it was ready to wheel up to and pour in the hole. The drum opening is low enough where you can lean the bag of concrete on your knee as you load saving your back. This machine is not for large projects. If you are pouring a slab bigger than 7-8 cu/ft get something else. It comes with the worst assembly instructions I've ever seen. It took three times longer to get it together than it should have. The handles and drum come apart for easy storage.

I took some time to get started (months) from purchase date to actual usage, but I can say without reservation this little bugger kicks [...]!!! The ability to roll the unit to the drop point is invaluable..."I've poured side walks, slabs, and some hobby crap for the Mrs"...This unit runs quiet!!! A small platform of blocks and plyboard if you want to keep it stationary and use a wheelbarrow. I put this unit thru some on site realtime tests...she performed without a hitch...."value for the buck"

Pros: Surprisingly tough, has held up to over 24 days of heavy use (3 men working hard for 10 hour days). Don't know how much we've poured but have used over 18 cy of sand, 24 cy of gravel and also did 48 redi mix bags.Cons: Horrible assembly instructions, just throw them away and look at the on line pictures. Hardware cheap and some bolts missing. Be prepared to use your own hardware so don't be in a hurry with assembly.Advice: Use large washers to buck up the mixing fins' attachment points. Helps to spread out the torque on drum, which is quite thin metal, and is where it will start breaking. Use large rubber washer at the drive shaft to drum connection point. I then covered all bolts with a thick layer of gooey caulk, NP1 or similar. Otherwise it will leak thru the barrel. Also grease the drive shaft where you can reach it.Don't overload it. Move it close to the pour and do no more than 2 bags redi mix or a 1-2-3 shovel concrete mix at one time. I'm sure the guys have exceeded this but............Don't use a long thin extension cord. Invest in a 14g min. 12 or 10 gage better. Get several short ones so you can keep the run as short as possible. Rig up some romex if you have to. Too thin or too long a cord will overheat the motor. Keep it as short as possible and make sure it's on a GFI circuit. You can't help but get water sprayed on the plug. It's worth the effort to set up a GFI outlet and heavy duty extension cord. And then still be careful. Death by electrocution is very ugly and 120vac is very dangerous, despite what some brave (read "stupid") electricians will say.DON'T assume the switch is broken if it fails to latch the motor on. It would start when the ON button was pushed but we had to hold the button in to keep it running. I assumed, stupidly, that the switch was broken and proceeded to try to bypass it. Bad move. What had happened is the thermal overload had cut out (100 degree day after 8 hours work). By time I tried to "fix" it I'd broken the switch and can't find another to replace it. It still works with a DPST 15amp rigged up switch, but now have no thermal protection. Now if we overheat it we'll just fry the motor. I don't recall anything in the instructions about this. I'm just lucky to have a master electrician nearby.If you're thinking "why not order a redi-mix truck?", they cannot get in where we are working so this has served me well.This has already far exceeded what I thought it could do, so I'll use it til it fries, then buy another.
