can't say goodbye to the original

I have been using this perfume for over 30 years, and nobody would recognize me in the dark without it. when I went this spring to replenish my supply, I was horrified by the new version - even though the sales people insisted that YSL had only changed the packaging - the first sniff of the new stuff was so obviously NOT my old friend. They have added some of that civet or musk that is in all the new scents - it descends into something sticky and rank, rather than the familiar dark and spicy. I bought 2 different versions,first the eau de toilette and then the perfume, but ended up taking them both back to the store and complaining. I don't think the sales people knew what I was talking about, but since my eyes were streaming and my cough was obvious, they believed that I am allergic to the new stuff, at least.So I was desperate! Luckily I googled Opium and discovered that a few people still have some of the old stock. I bought 2 bottles, but I don't know what I'll do when those are gone. Maybe we can all complain to Yves St. Laurent and get them to bring back the original recipe.If not, I will be condemned to the wrong smell for the rest of my life, I guess.I am not just pessimistic, but sad to lose something so beautiful that has been an important part of my life for so long.

This is my very favorite perfume of all time!!! And to find it,so easily available on Amazon is really nice to me!! And upon arriving,it proved to be all I thought it would be! A little thing,but really big sometimes-Very satisfied!
