This is the signature action play toy every boy will want to own. It comes with a 5"L scaled speed figure and the ultimate cool weaponry. Speed jumps into his car, snaps on his protective canopy and when he revs the engine, the gears roar and the jet rocket flares. The Mach 6 has its signature "jump-jacks" to pop up on two wheels, then with a push of a side button, the car shoots out a rapid succession of saw blades. Once the bad guy's been defeated, kids can push the car back down and continue on with the race.

Where's the battery notice!!!!!!

I purchased this race car for one of my grandsons. We were disappointed on Christmas when it turned out the car uses the new "dot" type batteries. When I purchased it online, there was no mention of what I consider a "special" type of battery. As you know, most toys use AA, AAA, etc. I now know more and more toys are utilizing this type of battery. It would have been very helpful if I had known this before Christmas Day!

Great, versatile tough car provides lots of fun!

I bought this for my sons (ages 3 and 6) for Christmas and they LOVE it. I was worried about how well it would hold up considering it's plastic and they have a lot of fun racing and crashing their speed racer cars, but it has been surprisingly resilient. The car transforms from a regular race car into "battle mode" and back really easily. We got it for a great price on amazon and are definitely pleased with what we got for the money.

Fun but not the best quality

My 5 year old had fun with this but the white pieces that come off of the front seemed to be popping off more than they stayed on which was disapointing.

This is by far the greatest hot wheels track I have ever come across. No batteries required, just straight up fun times. Set the needle to 12 o-clock and then start slamming the launchers to make your cars speed around the loop. Each time your car makes a complete loop the needle moves a notch in your direction and if you can get it all the way over to your side the checkered flag drops declaring you the winner! Plus both cars go around the same loop so crashes are pretty common (if you know 5 yr old boys....or 26 year old dads for that matter....then you can see where this would add to the pleasure of the race). I played with this with my two young boys (4 and 5) for hours getting out car after car too see who is fastest. It's sort of a running thing that I can do to bond with them...we go to the store and each get to pick out a new hot wheels car and then bring them home to race them. It's fun for them AND for me. I HIGHLY recommend this product!

A Hot Wheels toy worth the money!

I bought this for my son's 5th birthday. He & his 7 yr old cousin had a BLAST!!! This is a great toy for 2 or more kids in the house; they battle each other & they love it! MANY MANY different Hot Wheels cars work on this raceway (that's the #1 complaint of any Hot Wheels track sets!). A definite RECOMMEND!

Better than I expected

I got this toy because it was on sale for [...] but I wasn't sure how good it would be. It is great though, a lot of fun. My 4 and 5 year olds love to take a side each and hit that button to see whos cars races to the top first or hopefully they connect and a crash sends one or both flying. It was easy and quick to put together also. This is our second Speed Racer and the kids really enjoy them. We have only tried the speed racer cars on this set as of yet though, I'm not sure how well regular matchbox cars would fare. The speed racer ones tend to cost more.
