Nice Seat

Pros - about 60 to 70% softer than stock Sportster seat, easy mounting, looks nice.Cons - Do not like the way it mounts - not secure enough, the rear metal plate for the rear screw - for this kind of money you think they would have made a rear mount plate that actually fit and was not slotted for multiple bikes, not as plush as I thought it would be.I was expecting from the description and reviews that this would be a little plusher and have a backrest with it.All you get is the seat.If you rate the stock 04 Sportster seat as a 0 this is a 100% improvement. The stock seat is like riding on a board.I would rate this as a 60 to 70% improvement. Usually when I get off the bike my butt is killing me. I took this out on a 30 mile ride as soon as it arrived, and I got it attached.It was really nice, I got off and my butt was not killing me, like I had just been beaten with a board, like it usually is.The small lower support is very nice, making me sit just the slightest bit more straight than the stock seat.I did not like how it attached to the bike. The Sportster seat has a front clip and then a pin, on the bike, and a hook system on the seat and at the back a small metal plate that the back screw goes thru. The new seat does not use the hook and pin, it clips in the front and then just the small back screw hold the seat in place. I can see making a new rear metal plate to better secure the seat. The new seat has slotted holes that allow you to move it to align it to the rear mounting screw. I am going to make a non slotted with tighter holes.Over all I like it but wish I had looked a little more for a plusher seat. But at $50 less than everywhere else I looked I will live with it for a while.
