GREAT LOCK! FIGURED OUT WHY THE BAD REVIEWS,PROBLEM SOLVED!

Ok I was keeping my scooter in my condo on the 3rd floor until thr condo commandos ratted me out and was threatened a fine of $1000 if I didnt put it outside. I couldnt put a regular alarm on the bike as it would drain the battery. Luckily I found this alarm and it serves it purpose. It notifys me in my condo when its moved.When I got the lock I did everything right and the lock would make the armed sound but no matter how hard I shook it or slammed it or whatever, alarm wouldnt go off. I came here and read some reviews and saw some with the same complaints. I emailed and left the seller a message via phone. After seeing a video on youtube I found out what I was doing wrong.Once you arm the lock LEAVE IT ALONE FOR MAYBE 15 SECONDS SO THE CENSOR CAN ARM, ONLY THEN WILL IT WORK. ********************Its sensitive enough now to when I was putting my cover on the scooter, it went off. I went up to my condo about 100 yards away on the 3rd story and the pager in my bedroom was going off.This is what I need it for. Someone wants my bike, come get it but ill know and be able to get down there and dispatch them with extreme prejudice, lol. In any case this lock works and its no drain on your bike battery. The seller called me back also and was great, even wished me a Merry Christmas, good guy. Even if you have a another lock like i do, this is a must have anyway to alert you! well worth the $$$$$

A bit bulky and heavy but does its job perfect

The most valuable thing in this lock is its pager because only the bicycle owner is capable to protect their property most effectively. I wonder why other lock manufacturers equip their products with various needless features like keys with highlight LEDs or remote control but never a pager which lets you know when your bike is in danger. I'd also note that despite the relatively big dimensions, the lock has very reasonable tradeoff between size and connection abllities, you can find a suitable object to tie to nearly always in a vicinity. For countries with the cold climate the product works well even in temperature conditions far below zero (both Celcius and Fahrenheit scales), one 6LF22 9V battery is enough for more than a year of everyday use. Beware however that the lock does not tolerant to water, always turn it body up, shackle down and cover with a waterproof material. Also I had to replace the on/off button located on the printed-circuit board inside after about 1500 on/off cycles.I would definitely recommend this product for those who do not want their bike to be stolen or damaged on parking and can bear the PITA transporting it all the way round. Maybe a lighter model with, say, 10-mm diameter shackle would appear much more convenient in use.

Very nice product, works as it should. Very much worth the money. A cheap and functional solution to theft deterrant. A lot cheaper then installing a dedicated alarm and can be used on a new bike when you sell your old one ;) Works as alarm, a deterrant and a physical barrier. Instructions could be a little clearer but everything works as it should once you figure out how to use it.
