5Improves cornering performance
By Mark Deaton
After I replaced the rear tire [on my 2005 GS-500F] with a cheaper, harder, longer-lasting Chinese tire, I noticed a tendency for the bike to slip more around tight corners. After putting in these springs and adding 15W fork oil, however, I found the bike gripping the road much better around bumpy corners. And as a plus, I never bottom out over speed bumps anymore.

5Fork Springs, Difference
By OSUrider
I put these springs on a Suzuki '93 500.The most immediate difference in handling was first noticed when replacing the fork oil in the Suzuki with 20w oil. Stock oil is somewhere around 5-10w and it does not dampen nearly as much. That said, I still did not achieve the fork stiffness I was looking for, so I turned to the Progressive Springs. well, it was remarkably noticeable replacing them, and the bike feels completely different. Stability is not noticed at lower speeds, when turning around town or stop lights, so don't look for stiffness there, but however, when going anywhere faster than 15 mph, the spring stiffness overcomes normal road imperfections and obstacles much differently. Great Springs and Product!
