Sturdy in high speed, but tricky to get right.

I bought this product used from amazon for 20 bucks and I am extremely pleased with it so far. It seems to hold up well in highway speeds up to 80 mph on my softail. Clamps for the grips run a bit small, but just take the time to put something underneath them to prevent damage. Very simple to install, but takes some time to get the adjustment right. I was concerned about some parts being plastic that over tightening them could cause them to break. Everything seems to be holding up alright after moderate use. I found that the best position is to keep the angle consistent with my forks, but this can differ based on the rider. This is a great little shield for those like me who don't normally ride with one. The small size is great, keeping enough air off your face to help on those longer rides on the freeway while still giving the open feel. I would defiantly pay full price for this now that I know the quality is good and the functionality is excellent.

My bike is pretty new but looks like a bike fron the 70's. I've been fixing it up that way. This windscreen works good with that look. I have a large windscreen that I will use for serious highway travel but for poker runs and rallies around this area this works good. It allows enough wind to actually be in the wind but a headwind won't try to rip your helmet off of your head.The installation was fun though. Remember, the way this mount is made it is fully articulating and will turn every which way. If you don't follow instructions well you will wind up wrestling this thing. It however will fit just about every installation. I have it mounted on a pair of 70's style "Z" bars.

Thombstone slipstreamer winshield

The windshield works as expected. Looks great on the bike with a vintage appearance.Being small with very little wind drag is what I wanted and this did it. Has fairly well protection, better than all the other smalss ones do.
