snapdry boot dryer

This was to replace an older model of the same brand, whose fan had worn out after more than five years. I contacted the supplier about a noise the fan was making when the new unit arrived, and they paid for postage back and quickly shipped a replacement. This seems to work great, just like my older model. The new design incorporates a timer, which automatically shuts the unit off after 24hours or less. Hopefully this will prolong the life of the fan motor, which is clearly the achilles heel of the product.Overall, I love the product, which fits inside my ski boots for travel. This protects the dryer in transit, as other models I've had in the past have been damaged while rattling around in luggage, or worse yet in a ski bag. The dryer typically needs only an hour or two to completely dry my boots, which makes them much more comfortable, and better smelling than they would otherwise be.

Dries boots and gloves well.

The purpose of this product is to gently warm and dry your boots and gloves. If you're looking for something that will get them dry (especially my GoreTex-lined gloves that are tough to dry) without damaging them from too much heat, this little sucker will do the job very well. If you're looking for something that will make your toes and fingers hot and toasty, find something else and hope you can deal with the potential damage. I've used these to dry gloves, hiking boots and ski boots, and found that they dried in a couple hours (except when absolutely soaked). They have nice attachments for gloves and boots, and the built-in timer keeps them from running all night when an hour or two would do. Unfortunately, the timer control appears to use arbitrary units (so you have to remember roughly what an hour is) for its scale, so you have to guess a little on time.

really nice boot heaters.I wish the design was a little easer to travel with, the bag kind of sucks, no cord wrap... but other than that the product works very well. I really like that there is a timer on the dryer. Noise level is very low considering the fan size.I use this for my hockey skates and ski boots.
