The CVA-118 subwoofer is a high-performance, compact 18-inch active subwoofer with 700W of efficient power output. The legendary Cerwin-Vega woofer design is reflected in this 18" woofer offering maximum bass performance with extreme power handling and exceptional low-frequency response. The CVA-118 speaker features built-in amplification for an integrated, all-in-one solution with a powerful 1400 watts of peak power output. A unique and striking cast aluminum grille protects the woofer while doubling as a heat-sink to minimize power compression and optimizing driver performance. Housed in a compact hardwood enclosure design the size of a standard 15-inch subwoofer footprint, the CVA-118 is highly portable and durable. Along with XLR and 1/4" TRS connectors, the CVA-118 has Master/Slave output connectors that allow for multiple CVA subwoofers to be daisy-chained together using a single signal. This compact active sub also features a 35 mm pole-mount socket to accommodate a satellite speaker for full range performance.

Cerwin Vega CVA-118X is the best 18" sub on the market!!

This sub was purchase to replace an 18" JBL unit and what a surprise, this thing is incredible. It is so loud I had to turn it down, where the JBL was running full throttle. Even at low volumes and idle this CV vibrates brick walls. No distortion and no noise. Plenty of power, Buy it, you will not be sorry! It needs corner protectors though.

Cerwin vega has out done themselves! Not even 24 hours after I got my 18 inch weapon of destruction .. I had my whole block pounding on my door.... One neighbor whinnied ( he lives 5 houses down mind you) I was shacking (not vibrating or little pounding) but shaking the chair he was sitting in... My next irritated next door buddy told not only where his windows thundering but his whole freaking house was thundering... His little ugly mutt dog freaked out and pissed himself all over he's owners lap!! So if you have a earthquake proof house and neighbors that you really want to mess with... Then this cerwin is going to do your nasty little deeds! Remember.... If your worried about this product being crap... Just think about who made it.... Cerwin Vega's 18 inch subwoofer will make you smile for days... If you ordered this weapon of mass destruction.. Have fun and enjoy one of the best subwoofers ever made!

Nice low end hit even at low volume. I would recommend these only if you want to feel your music. They are big but so what !!! They sure move the air.
