By J. Riquelme
This is one solid grill. The panels, grates, double walled cabinet doors, side shelves all are robust in materials and design. The assembly was minimal, I had it together in 15 minutes. At first I thought the handle lamps and lighted panel were gimmick, but actually are very functional. At 70K BTU, this grill packs a mean punch. It zoomed up to 700'F in less than 10min, so cleaning this afterwards is a breeze. My first use were two 2lb chickens on the rotisserie; the S-670 performed gallantly. If I were to pick a weak spot, it would be the caster wheels; they are a bit on the light-duty side especially when compared with the rest of the grill. I suggest registering warranty by phone, the customer service rep will share with you use and care instructions not as obvious in the manual.

By Catherine Blough
We absolutely love the functionality of this grill. Gone are the flame ups from lesser grills that we have owned. We have not tried all of the extras like the rotisserie, side burner, smoker box, etc. However, this is the first grill we have owned that cannot take the rain. Unfortunately, in Michigan we can go from absolute sunshine to something resembling a monsoon without prediction in a matter of 30 minutes. Sometimes there is not enough time for the grill to cool down and be covered. The first such downpour occured today....what a mess. The entire interior cabinet was soaked, and the grease pan was almost full of water combined with the grease! We were lucky it did not overflow.Weber needs to think this through.

By small business guy
We love our Summit. Moved up from the Genesis silver. We comparison shopped including really fancy units (dacor, etc.). The Summit produces noticably more controllable temperatures, and better outcomes than our weber silver genesis (which we loved, and is great for $400). We use this 3+ times a week, all year around, in new england -- fish, chicken, steak, veggies, even pizza (pizza only in summer). Medium to high heat. The summit seems like a good compromise between ultimate quality$$ and silver genesis.Only issue is the fact that water gets floods grease tray if it is not covered when it rains. (And you can't cover until cold, which means that grilling in drizzle that becomes rain is a nuisance because you have to go out to cover at night, or wait until morning and then have an inch of water in grease pan). Well designed for cleaning, but if it could shed water outside its drippings pan, it would get the 5th star.
