Product Description
Dating back to the 1800s, the Frye Company is the oldest continuously operated shoe company in the US, giving Frye products a long and illustrious history! Today Frye remains true to its heritage and vintage roots, while continuing to innovate and expand its footwear for continuously fashionable designs using rich leathers and quality hardware. These sophisticated Paige Tall Riding 77535 boots by Frye embody the look of the down home girl with a metropolitan flare. They have a great equestrian look through and through: the proof is her boot-top originally designed to protect from paddock mud and a low heel for English stirrups and pull straps to ease. This Paige Tall 77535 differs in that it has a wonderful calf shine leather design. In addition, they have a distressed, polished leather upper in a casual riding boot-inspired knee-high styling with a rounded toe. Soft vintage leather upper in a riding boot style featuring a 16 1/4 inch mid-calf boot shaft. Approx. 15 1/4" circumference and 3/4" leather stacked heel. Leather lining, insole and outsole. Style #77535.

I just purchased these boots in the saddle color. They are fantastic! They are a beautiful camel color - the picture is pretty accurate as far as color goes. They are comfy and look great over skinny jeans. I've gotten tons of compliments. I think they run a little big and there is quite a bit of room in the calf, but I think that looks good with jeans. They are expensive, but Frye boots are the best and this is such a classic style!

This boot looks even better on than in the picture. I got the unusual gray, and at 6 feet with a REAL size 11 foot, they slid on perfectly from the first. I never noticed that my right calf was a wee bit larger than my left, but they fit easily over leggings and skinny jeans. On a business trip, I was walking through the trendy Hollywood Sunset shopping district and I had a shop owner come out to compliment my outfit and another tell me she noticed the boots while I was across the street. That being said, within a month the heels were pretty run down (although I used them mostly for performances in a country band and not really the hard walk that would cause this) I had seen this in a previous review, and was willing to take the chance. I'll put heels on them until the cows come home, but what I didn't expect was for the right pull tab to rip halfway off. I've been babying them for several months, debating on letting the shoemaker do an obvious stitch job. (Shoemakers are hard to find and =whew-expensive!) I contacted the seller immediately by email through Amazon as there was only one more 11 in stock. Never heard anything, and that 11 is now gone. The request was specific. I would purchase the new pair but wanted to be sure I'd be reimbursed for the one's being returned. They were a good price for Fryes, but they weren't cheap :-(

By gloria
I've had these boots in tan for a couple of months now and I really like them. I'm 5'10'' and skinny, so I have narrow feet and calves. These boots are fitted enough that I can wear them with skirts and it doesn't look awkward, but they are a little wide (noticeably) in the foot and the ankle. Definitely weather-proof them, because the leather stains easily.
