EXCELLENT BACK UP IRON SIGHTS!!!

Excellent BUIS. Money well spent.PROS:Well made. Sturdy 6061 aluminum hard coat anodized.Locks in place. No wiggle even after 600 rounds of use with 5.56 ammo.Flip up mechanism has a strong tension spring that remains tight even with repeated use.Nice crescent moon design and excellent for cowitnessing.CONS:NoneRecommendations:Use Blue Loctite to protect threads from rust and corrosion and prevent loosening from repeated shock and vibration.This MI front iron sight comes in two models. One is for gas block height and the other is for handguard height. Select the handguard model only if you will be attaching it to a free floating handrail or if your gas block is the same height as your upper receiver.

This site is everything that it should be. It's all steel construction is exactly what a "gas block" site needs. It is built with great tolerance levels...absolutely no wobbles or give. Good sight.

As is normally the case, my gas-block sits a bit lower than the flat-top rail. In conjunction with the Magpul polymer rear-sight, this MI flip-up works great. My only complaint and the reason for four-stars, is that when the sight is up, there is quite a bit of back-and-forth play, but it adjusted well and seems to hold zero, after several hundred rounds. Loc-tite the screw as always. I would buy it again.
