I was looking for a heavy duty, loud sounding snare drum. I came across the Ace. It works perfect for me. I play hardcore and metal stuff. I've found this drum to fit into my playing needs.

I've always wanted a versatile snare drum, something that can go low to suit for some half-time heavy metal grooves, and something that can go high like a timbale. This snare drum satisfies both of those.Do NOT buy this if you want a black beauty sound. I believe that if you want a black beauty, you should just get the black beauty instead of looking for another drum to substitute it. No drum to made to imitate another, its works the same with guitars, you don't give a Seymour Duncan JB pickup a bad review just because it doesn't sound like an EMG. Overall, this is a great snare, just put on a Coated Ambassador, maybe new snare wires (I'm using the stock ones), and you've got an incredible snare drum.
