Great addition to my Colt Defender, and nicely made!

This is way overpriced in my opinion - about $200 more than what the parts cost. However, it is cheaper on Amazon than most places.The grip is nicely made and fits perfectly. The instructions for the battery installation are non-existent, except that the + goes to the gun side of the grip. Last night I couldn't get the laser to work, so today I bought new batteries. When I went to install the new batteries, I wondered if the brass contacts were supposed to be reversed, so I installed the old batteries with the long brass contact on the bottom of the battery and the short one on top. You guessed it - the laser worked like a champ.The button activation is in the perfect position and turns on with natural pressure from a firm grip. I have large hands, but I think it would work for all sizes. My trigger finger (in the safe position outside the trigger guard) blocks the laser if I'm not careful. But it's just as natural to lower my finger by 1/8", and actually keeps it more parallel with the slide. The laser is bright and easy to see at any personal defense distance.I love the rubber Hogue wraparound grips that come with the Defender, and wish the Crimson grips were similar.I was not happy with the windage setting, so I made a minor adjustment. I won't know how well it's aimed until I get to the range. Updates to come...
