Perfect Drop Leg Platform.

It's a great holster, no doubt about it. Your M9 locks in tight just from the weight of the gun. The lock is solid even if you accidentally invert (don't ask) The double straps on the harness prevent you from losing your pants (wear a sturdy belt, I recommend a riggers) and stil gives you convient access to your pocket, so easy to grab a knife.

I used this hoster for my entire deployment to Afghanistan and it worked perfetly. Great retention and very comfortable to wear. The whole USMC is going to this holster because of its versatility and usefulness. I especially like the ability to remove the holster with the buckles and not having to un-loop anything from my belt.

Upon inspection all parts and workmanship appear to be the thesis of professional grade tactical equipment. My P229 wiggles SLIGHTLY in the holster, but is VERY secure. The tab that holds the trigger guard into the holster has no play whatsoever, from my research and first hand accounts this is a jump-able holster. I'm considering buying a cheap metal airsoft pistol to test this theory firsthand. However it is unlikely I will ever make another combat jump -even so with an M-9 or 1911 instead of my preferred Sig229. I was worried at first that the design would act like a shovel for dirt during a low crawl, it appears that there is enough room for an accumulation of sand and dirt to fall through the holster once kneeling or prone -mud may be a different issue, but mud (especially the fine silt of river deltas and sandy surf) tends to muck up everything anyway. Always jimmy-hat your firearms when in the grime anyway, this should be SOP. Long story short if you're looking for the best you can buy in a tactical holster it's either this of the Safariland 6000 series -anything else just ain't worth the money.
