We have replaced over a hundred various non-performing toilets over the past two years. We chose the AS Champion, and are VERY happy we did. I work at a private boarding high school, probably the most severe test for toilet reliability! The calls for plugged toilets have almost ceased, only when they are intentionally jammed do they seem to stop up.. and even then I have had success by just flushing a couple of times!A GREAT unit!

This toilet is awesome. I got fed up with my 2, 15 year old contractor grade Eljer toilets that came with my house. I had to unclog them at least once a week and almost always required a double and sometimes triple flush.A must for my new toilets were 2 things. They will not clog easily and the flush will clean the bowl.I decided to replace the upstairs toilet with the Champion first. It was very easy to install. The seat is very comfortable, the flushing power is incredible. The flush cleans the entire toilet bowl leaving nothing behind. The only negative is the initial flush is quite loud. The 2nd toilet was to be mounted right off the kitchen. Because of the loud flushing of the Champion, I searched for a toilet with all the benefits of the Champion but also very quiet. I came across a toilet from American Standard called the Clean Flush. Its a dual flush toilet. It has 2 buttons centered at the top of the tank. The left will flush only 1.2 gal and the right 1.6 gal....Obviously for #1 and #2. This toilet is a home run. Not only do I get all the benefits I was looking for but I also save money on the dual flush option. Even if you press the 1.2 gal flush for solid waste it takes it all away. The only negative with this toilet is the seat was very uncomfortable. I replaced it with a Champion seat....At last, the perfect toilet. Both toilets serve there purpose quite well and both cost about the same $230.00. I highly recommend either of these toilets, especially the Clean Flush model. Lets just hope they hold up.

NOTE: I based this rating on my experience with toilets in this price-class. I am not comparing this to a $1000 Japanese turd destroyer.I purchased this from my local Home Depot for use in my master bathroom and have been extremely pleased. It came with a toilet seat/cover and wax ring.I am 6'5" tall and my wife is 5'6" and the height is perfect. The tank lid is flat on top with a little ridge around the edge, so it's very handy if you'd like to keep a basket or something on the back. The only part of the toilet that lacks quality is the flush handle...it's plastic and a little cheap-feeling, but that's the only negative thing I have to say about this toilet. The plumber who installed it compared it favorably to a Toto. He said that a Toto is a Toto, but this model toilet is an excellent alternative for people without a massive toilet budget. He installed it very close to the wall with only a 1" gap between the tank and the wall - almost flush. The box says it can flush 52 golf balls - and I believe it! Over a month and no clogs, and we've fed it some hefty meals I'll tell ya!
