Yamaha FD01S... Sweet Guitar, Sweet Price

If you have an opportunity to get your hands on this guitar, grab it and take it for a spin. You wont be disappointed. If you compare this Yamaha with some of the others in this price range, you will be surprised. And, with the solid Spruce top, it will only get better as it "Ages".. Well Built, nice finish..Should last a long time.I am very pleased that I bought this guitar.

Good Guitar and Tuner, Cheesy Bag and Strap, Worthless Instructions

I bought the kit so I could teach myself how to play the guitar. The kit has a decent guitar, tuner (see comments) and picks. I am sure the strings will come in handy. The rest of the items are essentially worthless. Buy the guitar, and the accessories separately and you'd be much happier.The guitar has good sound, and stays in tune pretty well.The tuner, while decent has absolutely useless instructors, and the tuner was not even close to the one used in the instructional video.The "gig bag" may keep your bag dry in the rain, it is very thin vinyl with no padding to protect the guitar. The bag also does not have any pockets for accessories, or music. I ended up spending $60 for a decent, padded gig bag.The strap... Well, what can I say. It is just a cheap nylon strap. I ended up buying a more comfortable one.

I got this package for Christmas and am really satisfied. I have been playing on a $50 Gremlin for the past year and thought it was good until now. I try to play even for a few minutes every day and when I'm not it's hanging on hooks on the wall and barely ever have to tune it. I'm used to having to tune every time I pick up my acoustic. The gig bag that comes with it is kind of cheap and I recommend spending the money on a hard case if your going to travel with it at all. You can also do better on the tuner that comes but it'll get you where you need to be. Overall, you will be happy with your purchase.
