What can be said about a post?

I bought the MAIL BOSS mailbox and this post is specifically made for the MAIL BOSS.I thought it was expensive until I contacted a local metal shop and asked what it would cost for them to make an equivalent post. It was going to cost $35 more than this one. That's $35 more, even including shipping charges for this one.I should add that the shop would not powder coat the post. The post in this review is powder coated for a very long lasting finish. My metal shop would simply spray paint it.Lastly, the post is made by the Mail Boss folks. It works perfectly and there's no mounting issues whatsoever. If you don't believe your time has any value I guess you could mess with a home-made post. I just felt I had bought a super, well-made mail box (the MAIL BOSS) and I wasn't about to spend extra time messing with an inferior mount.
