great crossbow

while the pictured bow is close to accurate, the newer ones do not have the string silencer. I have spoken to Horton and they have assured me that this was not an oversight in the packaging, but a design change. While bow has a "range" of up to 80 yards, it has the same limitations as a compound bow. I wouldn't safely harvest a white tail at more than 40 yards, preferably 30.Accuracy is fantastic and the cocking string makes this an easy cock.I would definately buy this again as a package. Struggled to determine which was the right crossbow for my needs, but have no buyers remorse. Worth every dollar. Now if I can only get those deer in a little closer I'd be feeling really good! But that isn't Horton's fault.
