awesome bass for an awesome price!

this bass is really worth every buck and then some more. i got it about five or six months ago and i'm amazed. so far i've noticed that the batteries last a fairly good amount of time. i haven't had any trouble or found any defects on it. nothing has came lose, even after being less than careful with it a few times. it played good right out of the box,... but the nickel-wound strings did make a difference from the stock strings. like every other new instrument, you just have to do a few minor bridge and string height adjustments, but that's expected. the action is good :) the battery compartment is on the back, separate from the volume and the other cables, very accessible. i can really get any sound i want from it. you can get very nice deep tones, as well as high. it can go from hard rock, to funk, to some pretty sweet slap, and more. certainly for the price you cannot beat it. it is also quite light, which is very cool if you're like me and keep it on your shoulders for a good amount if time.the pictures do not do enough justice to this bass, it is very elegant... the black finish is pretty, but, as with every other bass, you have to take care of it and not use rough cloth to clean it.... the active electronics make this bass powerful... and after months of playing, it still sounds as good as new... this one is a keeper for me!;)if you want a good bass, but are tight on money, this one is certainly an almost unbeatable offer.
