The Best Cookware

This is an EXCELLENT set of cookware. The best I've ever owned and I've owned everything from cheap to ultra expensive. The 5 ply construction is far superior to anything on the market.The pots and pans are made in Switzerland by Spring and states on the boxes "Swiss Made" it also has it on the pans and the lids. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

I purchased these to have more pieces of the same line. The others I have been using since August 2010. I was quite disappointed to give up my Calphalon Contemporary Stainless but I had installed induction and my (older) set did not work with induction. As much as I loved those pots, these are even better. I am in the habit of forgetting that I left food on the flame. The incredible conductivity - throughout the pot - make these more forgiving. And when I test the limits of these pots and burn my food, they clean up well. I have discolored several of my mother's Faberware - these never discolored despite all the opportunities I have given them!The insides are not non-stick, but if you heat the pan first, you will have no problem with frying or cleaning up afterwards. The flared rim makes cleaning the top much easier than the top of the Calphalon. The most challenging clean-up for me is when frying. The outside of the pan is shiny and if oil gets there, I don't want to use steel wool ... my solution is to steam it. It works for me, but I believe there are products out there if you don't have a steamer.Overall, I LOVE these pots. I bought this set because it is discontinued and I want to have as many pieces as I will ever need, even if I don't need it now. For the record, Spring Europe is owned by Waterford - as is All-clad. Spring manufactures the All clad line in Europe. These are the same concept as the All-Clad d5 - only better because they have an aluminum core. The outward design is almost identical.
