I have personally used these during my training/combat in the United States Marine Corps infantry. I have never found a set of NVG's that performed at this level since! If you have a use for them, I would strongly consider these first. They are spendy but would you trust a Chinese toymaker brand? These will not fail and paired with a AN/PAQ-4 IR beam, these are a dream!

I own a pair of these that is almost identical to this model. The negative reviewer is mistaken about not being able to hand hold the goggles. They're made to shut off when they're turned on and then disconnected from the head-mount so that you don't forget and the enemy sees you, and then you die - they're a military device. If they're not connected to the head-mount you can turn them on and off at will.

I dont own one but have used the ANPVS7 in the US Army. I was a squad rifleman and used to scan the perimeter in the middle of a moonless night with this device. Its like daylight. We owned the night with full advantage. Didnt think they sold this to civilians. Look no further. This is "THE ONE".
